Pilvenpiirtäjät (skyscrapers which means, in finnish, drawer of the cloud /cloud-drawer) is a group of two persons: Heidi Hänninen (artist) and Grigorij Pisarenko (architect). We decided to organize our group in summer 2009, after many discussions about life, nature and people living in and with that nature. In our works we are creating a new world, in which people and nature could live in harmony together, without forgetting the technology and urban aesthetics. We are also showing current contradictions in this relationship. Human being is between two different worlds, or he has put himself in between. Here in the middle he is asking questions like “Who I am, why am I here?”, “Am I part of the nature, am I an animal?”, or “I’m above the nature, so why can’t I use it?”, “I’m anyway using the nature, so how should I do it?”, and so on. We made our first project “Cakelabs” in summer 2009. It is in the same time advertisement for our friends design-company (Cakelabs), and for our project.
